📢 Notification Overview

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 04/2025 for the recruitment of Section Controllers in various Zonal Railways across India. This is a Graduate Level (Level-6, 7th CPC) post with attractive pay and career growth in Indian Railways.

💼 Vacancy Details

• Post Name: Section Controller

• Total Vacancies: 368 (Zone & RRB-wise details in Annexure-B of the notification)

• Pay Level: Level 6 (7th CPC)

• Initial Pay: ₹35,400/-

• Medical Standard: A-2 (Vision standards apply – candidates who underwent Lasik are not eligible)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Must hold a Graduation Degree from a recognized University/Institute as on 14.10.2025.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum: 20 years

• Maximum: 33 years

• DOB Range: Born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2006 (UR/EWS)

• Age Relaxations:

  • OBC-NCL – 3 years

  • SC/ST – 5 years

  • Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Railway staff – As per rules mentioned in the notification

Nationality

• Indian citizens and eligible subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees and certain PIOs as per Govt. norms.

🧪 Selection Process

1. Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)

2. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

3. Document Verification (DV)

4. Medical Examination

• Negative marking in CBT: 1/3rd marks deducted for each wrong answer

• Final merit list based on 70% CBT + 30% CBAT

• Candidates must pass the CBAT to be considered

• Mode of Payment: Online (Net banking / Credit / Debit / UPI)

♿ Reservation

• Vertical reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS as per Govt. rules

• Horizontal reservation for PwBD & Ex-Servicemen

• EBC category candidates get only fee concession (not job reservation)

4. Upload live photo, signature, and documents as per format.

• One candidate can apply to only one RRB under this notification.

• Lasik or any vision correction surgery is not allowed for A-2 medical standard.

• Free sleeper class railway travel pass is available to SC/ST candidates (with valid caste certificate).
