The Government of Andhra Pradesh Prisons Department has issued a recruitment notification for outsourcing positions in the Office of the Superintendent, District Jail, Guntur and the Office of the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Guntur Range, Tadepalli. Eligible candidates can apply offline before the last date: 29th September 2025 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

• 18 to 42 years as on 31-08-2025

• Age relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years

  • BC/EWS: 3 years

  • Maximum age with relaxation: 47 years

Pharmacist Grade-II

• Qualification: B.Pharmacy / D.Pharmacy / Pharma-D / M.Pharmacy from a recognized institute in AP.

• Registration: Must be registered with AP Pharmacy Council (with valid renewal).

• Skills: Communication skills in Telugu & English, MS Office knowledge, basic medical/surgical and hospital admin knowledge.

• Preference: Candidates with experience will be preferred.

Office Subordinate

• Qualification: Passed 7th Class or equivalent.

• Skills: Able to read and write in Telugu.

Watchman

• Qualification: Passed 5th Class.

• Skills: Able to read and write in Telugu.

 Driver (LMV)

• Qualification: SSC (10th Class) pass.

• License: Valid LMV driving license from AP Transport Department.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years LMV driving experience as on notification date.

• Skills: Vehicle maintenance knowledge, minor repairs ability, clean driving record, knowledge of road signs.

⚖️ Selection Process

• Merit-Based Recruitment following the Rule of Reservation (RoR) of the AP Government.

• Written Examination: 75% weightage – based on aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

• Interview: 25% weightage.

• Final Merit: Combined marks of qualifying exam + interview.

If two candidates score the same total, elder candidates will be preferred.

Interview schedule will be informed via phone call/SMS, so providing a valid mobile number is mandatory. Absent candidates will be removed from the eligible list. Interviews will not be rescheduled.
