The ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR-NIE), Chennai, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts under direct recruitment. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria

✅ Assistant

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Age: 18 to 30 years

✅ Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

• Typing: 35 WPM in English / 30 WPM in Hindi on computer.

• Age: 18 to 27 years

✅ Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• 12th class pass or equivalent.

• Typing: 35 WPM in English / 30 WPM in Hindi on computer.

• Age: 18 to 27 years

🖥️ Selection Process

Tier 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 100 Marks

• Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

• Qualifying Marks:

  • UR/OBC: 50%

  • SC/PwBD: 40%

Tier 2: Skill Test / Proficiency Test

• Assistant: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint tasks

• UDC/LDC: Typing test on computer (qualifying only)

Experience Weightage (Max 5 Marks)

• 1–2 years: 1 mark, up to >8 years: 5 marks
